From 1832 - 1840, Sveria faces invasions from the Southern Neilic Kingdoms following the failure of the Machio Plot - an attempt to overthrow Parliament and King Luc in favour of the absolutist Prince Dyron. The Sverian Royal Army defeats the coalition in two crucial battles (Battle of Yster and Battle of Hermat). Peace established in 1840 Treaty of Sephalon: Kingdoms of Sephalonum and Garlia annexed, and Prince Dyron exiled from the Peninsula.
The Kingdom of Cordova invades Sveria following dispute over the Aren River. Sveria suffers massive losses in the Battle of Valdorm and is forced to accept 1900 Treaty of Cordova: The Ducal Territories of Aren and Hardin ceded to Cordova.
City of Sverin created as a result of losing the former capital (Arendal) to Cordova. It formally becomes the capital of Sveria, with the monarchy and Parliament relocating to the new city.
Free compulsory education was introduced nationwide, creating one of the world's most educated populations.
Towns and cities all over Sveria experience riots and revolts, calling for the re-establishment of Sephalonum and Garlia as independent sovereign nations. The revolts are violently cracked down by 1910, but thousands have already lost their lives. Security Services reveal credible evidence to suggest the Kingdom of Neil supported the revolt.
Sveria invades Neil due to their role in the Great Uprising. The Royal Army quickly occupies Hevondale and defeats the Neil Army at the Battle of Sahn Valley. Thus, the 1912 Treaty of Burchos is signed, formally annexing Neil in its entirety.
Investment in manufacturing, transport and energy transformed Sveria into a prosperous industrial nation.
Sveria launches an invasion against the collapsing Kingdom of Cordova using new weaponry forged from the recent industrial revolution, retaking Harindal and Arendal. 1964 Treaty of Manadoch formally returns the territories taken by Cordova years ago, though Sveria still retains Sverin as the capital city.
Citizens voted to replace the constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary republic, marking a peaceful transition to the current system of government.
General Arthur Mulligan attempts a coup against the government, in order to overturn the citizen referendum and restore the monarchy. Royalists retreat to the island of Maheno
Major constitutional reforms strengthened transparency, local democracy and independent public institutions.
The Sverian Royal Army restores control over the Maheno Island, deposing and eliminating the Royalist forces on the island.
Economic reforms following the global financial crisis restored confidence and protected Sveria's long-term fiscal stability.
After years of economic stagnation and recurring budget deficits, a historic election marked the beginning of a new era for Sveria. With a renewed commitment to fiscal responsibility, economic growth and long-term national development, the nation embarked on a path toward lasting stability and prosperity.

Called by the head of government or the monarch, or held automatically in a new country's first year. For one year the usual constitutional-change cooldown is suspended, so a new package can be opened as soon as the previous one closes, and the cost of opening a constitutional change package is capped at 75 PP however many changes it contains. Only one package can be open for voting at a time and voting thresholds are unchanged. Once the convention ends, another cannot be called for 10 years. It does not skew elector positions or change salience — its effects are purely on the constitutional change mechanics.
