Battle of Agrancourt
The creation of parliament is a fundamental part of our culture and identity.
The Great Reform Day saw Avalon transition from a Classical Democracy rooted in plural-voting, property rights and inconsistent districting to the world's first fully-fledged Unicameral system for all individuals regardless of sex, race, creed or class.
It is important to consider women in our country.

The island of Thornreach off the eastern coast of Avalon gained independence after a lawful referendum and a peaceful transition. The Davidson Agreement, named for the Avalon Prime Minister who presided over the change, established that Avalon would be obligated to protect Thornreach's sovereignty, but that the countries were under no obligation to hold a special relationship. PM James Davidson was soon forced to resign after his party criticised him roundly for showing what they perceived to be a lack of backbone in allowing Thornreach to secede so easily. The Davidson Agreement was quickly repealed, and the New Thornreach Deal installed in its place. The NTD gave Thornreach only the barest of protections, much to the fury of the island's new government. Relations between Thornreach and Avalon have been strained but cordial ever since.

A country in the grip of political fatigue. Voters haven't shifted their views — they still hold positions — but they've stopped caring as much. Low salience across the board means elections are less about conviction and more about who turns up. The Great Disillusionment doesn't pick a side; it just dims the signal. The practical effect is that elections become noisier: strong positions count for less because fewer people feel strongly about anything.
