April Constitutional Reform
4 measures · Proposed by Civic League Of Velinor
Name · 3 powers
This Constitutional Reform Package features two measures taken to prevent recent political affairs from occuring once more.
Renaming the nation
1 measure · Proposed by Libertarian Left
Name
We need to rename the nation, not like the actual name (which is Velinor) but add something before that.
Electoral Reform Amendment
2 measures · Proposed by Paleolibertarian Alliance
2 chambers
This amendment proposes extending the interval between national elections from five months to twelve months. The purpose is not to reduce democratic accountability, but to improve governmental stability, reduce the costs associated with constant election campaigns, and allow elected officials sufficient time to implement and evaluate policy. Under the current system, elections occur so frequently that public officials are often forced into a perpetual campaign cycle. This can encourage short-term decision-making, political opportunism, and legislative instability. By extending terms to one year, representatives will have greater opportunity to focus on governance rather than continuous campaigning. The amendment preserves the people's right to regularly replace their representatives while creating a more stable political environment. Annual elections remain frequent enough to ensure accountability but provide enough time for administrations to govern effectively and for voters to evaluate their performance based on results rather than campaign rhetoric. This reform seeks to balance democratic oversight with effective government, promoting stability, efficiency, and responsible administration without diminishing the fundamental rights of voters.
