Raise justice, police & internal security spending
Issued by the voters of Sveria on June 1, 2023.
We’re spending just $323 per person on justice, police, and our internal security—half of what our peers do at $656, and that’s why we’ve got 51% of voters below the median. We’re not asking for some wild increase, just to get to $620 per person so we can actually feel safe in our streets, not left behind while the rest of the world moves forward.

“The SWC supports increasing funding for justice, police, and internal security. Every person deserves to feel safe in their community, and our public safety institutions need the resources to properly serve the people of Sveria. However, increased funding must come with accountability. We should invest in well-trained officers, emergency response, community safety programs, and effective justice services—not simply increase spending without oversight. The SWC votes YES because public safety is a responsibility of government, and our communities deserve the resources necessary to keep people safe.”
