Budget Balancing Acts

Rationale

Under our current budget, we are facing a very difficult situation. A net loss of 588 Billion per year. This is huge for our reserves, which would be depleted in no time. We need to fix this as soon as possible, or risk going down into an economic catastrophe. In this proposed budget, we aren't raising taxes, but matching our rates to those of our neighbors. For instance, The average tax on low earners worldwide is currently at 20%, our proposed one is only at 14%, still lower that many. Also, our tax intake from medium earners is proposed to be at 23%, which the average tax rate worldwide it at 26%, still higher. Our taxation for the high earners sits at 39% proposed, which is only 5% more than the average. For too long, our country has been prioritizing the rich, with even the current budget having taxes for high earners at 25%, a whole 9% less than the average. We cant have medium and high earners paying the same percent of their paycheck every time, and this is why we must propose this new budget, clearing that gap and coming closer to that our other countries worldwide. This would also give our reserves some breathing ground. Also, the reason for why we are decreasing the retirement fund is because it sat 6% points above the worldwide average, and there should be no reason for that. I hope you guys will vote for this new budget, easing tension amongst the economists of Zorath, and a better future altogether
