At 75%, our income tax on the elite is 37 points higher than what our peers charge—not because we’re smarter, but because our politicians can’t resist punishing success. Dropping it to 40% isn’t some giveaway; it’s putting an end to the politics of envy that drives the very people who create jobs and take risks straight to the exits.

“Even though we believe in taxing the rich extensively, we also recognize that business growth is needed. This is why we plan to lower the tax to 40% not because we do not want to tax the rich but because we think that being 37 points on average higher than peers drives these businesses to other countries causing a exodus. Additionally we are a small nation and yes we have to govern with that private businesses exist and we cannot control everything cause that is communism and we believe in social democracy or socialism with democracy. So yes we will pledge to cut the tax to make in line with our peers at 40% which is a great tax rate for the rich to pay their fair share. This will include the governing party who needs to pay their fair share instead of just working class people only. With inflation and all some of the people paying 75% tax on rich are working class so specifying is another thing we need to do”
