We’re barely spending $184 a person on housing when every other place we compare ourselves to is shelling out $606—70% more than what we scrape together here! If we raised it to just $560, we’d still be lagging behind, but at least families wouldn’t be drowning in crumbling roofs and sky-high rents while politicians pat themselves on the back for doing next to nothing.
