Why are we charging our top earners 38% when the rest of the world only hits 34%? That’s four points higher than our peers, and it’s a slap in the face to people who’ve worked hard to get ahead. We should bring it down to 30%—because punishing success doesn’t just hurt those who’ve earned it, it tells every hardworking family in this country their ambition will be taxed to the hilt.
