Why are we charging the top earners 40% when places like [comparable country] only take 34%? That’s 6 points above what’s fair, and it’s just punishing people for doing well—hard work and success shouldn’t be taxed to the hilt while the rest of the world rewards aspiration. We need to bring this rate down to 35%, because right now, Avalon’s making it too costly to aim high.
