Cut income tax for high earners

Issued by the voters of Avalon on Sept. 1, 2020.

Why are we sitting here with a 42% income tax on high earners while the rest of the world charges just 36%? This isn’t just a few extra points—it’s six whole percentage points higher, and it’s punishing people who’ve worked hard to get ahead. We’re not asking for a handout, just a fair shake: bring it down to 35%, so success doesn’t get taxed to the hilt while our peers reward ambition instead.
