“We cautiously support this budget proposal as a temporary measure to eliminate the deficit”

“National Conservative Alliance strongly supports responsible public finances and believes every government has a duty to protect long-term economic stability. We also support reducing foreign aid where it is appropriate, as the first responsibility of any government is to its own citizens. However, we cannot support broad tax increases on low- and middle-income earners at a time when Velinor already enjoys a healthy budget surplus. Fiscal responsibility should be achieved through efficient government, careful prioritisation of public spending, and sustainable economic growth rather than placing additional burdens on working families. We will always support policies that strengthen our nation’s finances while protecting the people who work hard, raise families and contribute to Velinor every day.”
