Growth, Innovation and Security Budget Act of 2017

Proposed by Liberal Union · Passed 4 Mar 2017

✅ Passed

Rationale

Saxenheim's economy has made significant progress, with declining unemployment, improving public finances, and renewed economic confidence. This budget seeks to build upon that success by investing in the foundations of long-term prosperity. The purpose of this budget is not to reduce the role of the state, but to ensure that public resources are directed where they create the greatest long-term benefit for our citizens. Increased investment in education, infrastructure, research, and innovation will strengthen economic growth, improve competitiveness, and create new opportunities for future generations. At the same time, the budget maintains Saxenheim's commitment to a strong social safety net while ensuring that public finances remain sustainable. The proposal also includes a moderate increase in defence spending to strengthen national security and contribute to the protection of democratic values in an increasingly uncertain world. This budget represents a balanced approach: investing in growth, safeguarding stability, and preparing Saxenheim for the challenges and opportunities of the future. Prepared by the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Government of Saxenheim.
