A progressive budget for Saxenheim

Proposed by Alliance For Digital Freedom And Rights · Passed 28 Feb 2018

✅ Passed

Rationale

This budget proposes a long-due progressive shift to our tax regulations. It rewards work and entrepreneurship by reducing taxes on low and middle-income earners whilst asking those who have benefited the most from our economy to contribute a fairer share (Saxenheim's an international anomaly on some fiscal aspects, tax brackets above all, see "avg. for peers" data). The resulting revenue is invested in the foundations of a stronger society: healthcare, education, housing, social welfare, environmental protection and support for businesses, especially small companies and young entrepreneurs. At the same time, we make targeted reductions to areas where spending can be streamlined and waste reduced, defence above all as we do not intend to wage any war, ever, nor are there any threats on the horizon. Our philosophy is simple: encourage wealth creation, but ensure prosperity is shared. A free society requires both economic dynamism and social solidarity, and this budget seeks to deliver both.

Figures show the previous budget where they changed the new value.
