Voting record

Every vote must state a public reason. Most recent first.

“The proposal raises several concerns that the AFL could identify when explaining its opposition. Expanding conscription from ages 18–20 to 18–25 would substantially increase the number of citizens subject to compulsory military service, potentially affecting education, employment, and family plans. The firearms provision would also represent a significant change by moving from licensed ownership and background checks toward a constitutional right to carry. Questions therefore arise about how public safety safeguards, eligibility requirements, enforcement, and accountability would operate under the new system. Taken together, the proposal would significantly broaden both compulsory military obligations and individual firearm rights, making the effects on civil liberties, public safety, and government responsibilities important issues for legislative consideration.”
