Strategic Investment and National Strength Budget
Proposed by Avalonian Foundations · Passed 22 Aug 2024
Rationale
Port Avalon cannot secure its future by standing still. This budget makes decisive investments in the three foundations of long-term national strength: a capable defense, a first-rate education system, and a competitive private economy. Defense spending will ensure that Port Avalon can protect its sovereignty and national interests. Education investment will prepare the next generation of Avalonians to build, innovate, and lead. Increased support for business and economic development will expand opportunity, strengthen domestic industry, and create the productive economy necessary to sustain both public services and national security. This is not spending for its own sake. It is an investment in a stronger, more capable, and more prosperous Port Avalon—one that equips its people, protects its independence, and gives private enterprise the tools to grow.
Figures show the previous budget where they changed the new value.
