Rationale

The new economy update has enabled us to rebalance our economy in order to lower our people's dissatisfaction. Let's do it.

Proposed changes

  • Decrease personal income tax rate on low earners from 23% to 16%
  • Decrease personal income tax rate on medium earners from 26% to 22%
  • Decrease personal income tax rate on high earners from 36% to 35%
  • Increase personal income tax rate on elite earners from 0% to 42%
  • Increase spending on social welfare from $70.0bn to $78.0bn
  • Decrease spending on retirement from $160.0bn to $141.0bn
  • Increase spending on healthcare from $170.0bn to $179.0bn
  • Increase spending on education from $120.0bn to $123.0bn
  • Increase spending on justice, police & internal security from $40.0bn to $51.0bn
  • Decrease spending on defence from $70.0bn to $62.0bn
  • Decrease spending on environment & climate from $20.0bn to $18.0bn
  • Increase spending on arts, culture & media from $14.0bn to $19.0bn

This will increase tax take by $49.4bn annually.
