Amendments

Add an amendment: “The Federal Republic of Belvaria hereby amends the Constitution as follows: …”
The Federal Republic of Belvaria hereby amends the Constitution as follows: Section 1: Article III, Section 1 shall be repealed, as this section erroneously names Belvaria as a "Democracy" despite Article I clearly establishing Belvaria as a Constitutional Federal Republic. Section 2: Article IV, Section 3 shall be repealed, as it voids the powers of the Supreme Court of Belvaria and thus proves a serious threat to the Constitutionality of our Republic. Section 3: Article XIII, Sections 3 and 4 shall be repealed, as they limit the right to individual religious expression that was supposed to be established in Sections 1 and 2 of the same Article. Secction 4: The entirety of Article XX shall be repealed, as it completely removes the right of the government to make decisions on economic factors in such a way that could seriously impact the stability of Belvaria. Section 5: The entirety of Article XXI shall be repealed, as it infringes upon the right and duty of the Republic to be able to regulate itself. Section 6: Article XXII, Section 2 will be repealed, as it infringes upon individual liberties and neglects the importance of trade workers in the Belvarian economy. Section 7: It must now and forever be considered the sovereign duty of the Republic to protect the Constitution from any possible contradiction within itself, or else let it be considered compromised by the enemies of Belvaria.
First Amendment: This amendment removes Articles and/or sections within the base Constitution to preserve the purity of said document and ensure no one might call it compromised or contradictory. It also establishes the continual regulation and protection of the Constitution as one of the fundamental responsibilities of the Republic.

Proposer's case

This package will present the First Amendment to the Constitution, which will repeal several contradictory parts of the original Constitution and establish a new duty fundamental to the purposes of the Republic. It also finally allocates powers to Cabinet members instead of Civil Servants.

Voting record

Every vote must state a public reason. Most recent first.

Liberty For Belvaria!
Voted Aug. 3, 2022
No

“Centralisation of power is an intoxication of the state. Backsliding is inevitable from here.”

Belvarian Forward League
Voted July 24, 2022
Yes

“A direly necessary constitutional amendment that works extremely well for Belvaria.”

Together We Can
Voted July 23, 2022
No

“The first article is disgraceful. It literally establishes that Belvaria is not a democracy and tears down democratic checks and balances. The second article we could support since we have proposed something similar before, if it wasn't for the fact that it has very clearly been rewritten to give the presidency powers that should usually be reserved for the federal chancellor, because the Amish League already controls the presidency.”
