“We oppose this bill. While protecting national interests is legitimate, requiring government approval for every foreign land purchase creates a system that can easily be used for political discrimination. Given the current government's hostile approach towards the Free City of Port Avalon, there is a real risk that Port Avalonian individuals and businesses would be unfairly denied the opportunity to purchase property in Avalon.”
