Surplus Application Budget of 2022

Proposed by Democratic Group · Passed 25 May 2022

✅ Passed

Rationale

Avalon has an enormous fiscal surplus, and we believe that is best invested into the lives of Avalonians. We are looking to rebalance the distribution of funds among generations, ensuring that businesses and young people receive the appropriate support to boost the economy further still, as it has been under left-wing governance. We are left with a still large surplus with which we can spend, maintain or increase in the future.

Figures show the previous budget where they changed the new value.

“Following productive discussions with leadership from the Democratic Group, the Cashmen Party is officially changing its vote to Yes on the Surplus Application Budget of 2022. Our previous objections regarding governance and alignment have been resolved through direct dialogue aimed at building peace rather than political conflict.
