Investing in Asterhaven’s Future

Proposed by Opportunity · Passed 29 Apr 2024

✅ Passed

Rationale

This Budget strengthens Asterhaven’s core public services while putting the country’s finances on a more sustainable footing. It asks high and elite earners to contribute more, generating additional revenue to substantially reduce the deficit while allowing targeted investment in healthcare, housing, infrastructure and transport, climate and the environment, business support, and arts and culture. The result is a stronger social and economic foundation, with increased investment in long-term priorities alongside a near-balanced Budget.

Figures show the previous budget where they changed the new value.
