They’re paying us peanuts now—just $2600 a person for retirement? That’s a joke when you’ve spent your whole life working. Half more, so $3900 a person, and none of this penny-pinching nonsense—we earned it, now give us what we’re due.
The numbers behind the demand

“The Workers' Alliance of Holzminden was founded on one promise: that a lifetime of labour is honoured, not rationed. $2,600 a year is an insult to every worker who built this nation. We pledge to raise per-person retirement spending to the full $3,900 demanded — lifting the Retirement budget line in our Fair Share Budget from $3.1bn to $3.9bn. This will not be funded by cutting welfare, healthcare, or housing. It will be funded by asking the elite earners who have profited most from this economy to finally pay their fair share, raising their income tax rate to 46%. No worker retires into poverty on our watch. Not a discount. Not a phased half-measure. The full $3,900, delivered the moment we hold the power to pass it.”
“I will do my best to give want the voters want so let’s make this deal”
