Fifty-five nine per person is a joke when businesses are struggling, and we’re done settling for half-measures—we want eight-forty, a straight fifty-percent bump, because supporting our local shops and jobs isn’t just an expense, it’s the backbone of everything else. Hands off the excuses: if we’re putting money into this, it should be enough to actually move the needle, not some pitiful scrap that leaves us chasing our tails year after year.
