Sixty percent on our top earners is a joke when the rest of the world is only charging thirty-seven percent—we’re twenty-three points higher than our peers and driving investment right out of Charlemont. Taxing the very wealthiest at these punitive rates doesn’t create fairness, it’s the politics of envy, and it chokes off the risk-takers who actually build the jobs and growth we all depend on.
