Raise arts, culture & media spending

Issued by the voters of Charlemont on Feb. 1, 2019.

We’re spending a measly $26 a person on arts, culture, and media—less than a tenth of what every other civilized country shells out—while people here are starving for culture and creativity. At $261 per person in places just like us, we’re getting laughed at for being penny-pinching puritans, and now they want us to settle for just $180? That’s still a slap in the face compared to what’s normal.
