Constitutional Convention

The head of government or the monarch can call a year-long convention. While it sits, the amendment cooldown is suspended and no package costs more than 75 PP to open.

Constitutional Changes
Art. II
This Constitution may be amended only by a supermajority vote of greater than two thirds of all seats of the Parliament . No amendment shall take effect within 2 years of any previous amendment, nor may any amendment be proposed while another remains under debate.✏️ The constitution was last changed on the 7th of February 2024 (10 months ago).
Suffrage
Art. III
The right to vote shall belong to every adult resident: universal adult suffrage. ✏️
Elected Offices

The President🔒 shall be directly elected by the people every 48 months. The candidate with the most votes wins. The Parliament may call a vote of no confidence in the President, requiring 75% of those voting to pass. Monarchy
Art. V
The The Crown of Sekuntomia is a hereditary monarchy. The throne passes by nomination and selection when vacant, with the holder serving for life unless they abdicate. The Supreme Court
Art. VI
The Supreme Court of Sekuntomia shall be the final arbiter of the law of Sekuntomia. Any party may appeal to it on the ground that a law in force is unconstitutional, that a cabinet member or the holder of an elected office is acting illegally, or that a constitutional amendment is invalid. The Court shall hear the parties of Sekuntomia, and its justices shall rule by majority. Its rulings take direct effect and are not subject to appeal. 🔒
