Rationale

The current regulations are choking the tech industry, as data show a -0,5. We're not thrilled by this solution, but we want to bet on our companies and the creation of new jobs, and help those left behind with our generous welfare system. We can always revise or tune the new system down the road.

Voting record

Every vote must state a public reason. Most recent first.

Left Forward
Voted June 11, 2020
No

“We understand why this proposal has been brought forward. New technologies will change the way we work, and government cannot ignore that. But removing transition rights and leaving the process almost entirely to the market shifts too much of the risk onto workers. Entire professions may disappear, wages can come under pressure and many people could be left behind. Progress should improve people's lives, not make their livelihoods more uncertain. We support innovation, but it has to come with strong protections for workers. This proposal does not provide them, which is why we cannot support it.”

Yes

“Economic progress depends on cooperation between workers, employers, and the state. Encouraging innovation and automation strengthens national industry, creating the wealth needed to secure long-term prosperity. Rather than obstructing technological progress, Saxenheim should ensure that economic modernization benefits the nation as a whole through cooperation and shared responsibility.”

Competence And Freedom
Voted May 18, 2020
Yes

“C&F strongly supports this bill. We think that current regulations stifle technological innovation, and make the economy reliant on quantity rather than quality.”
