Every vote must state a public reason. Most recent first.

Left Forward

Yes

“Smoking is a personal choice, but it should not become an easy habit for children. This proposal does not criminalise smokers or ban tobacco altogether. Instead, it takes sensible steps that are proven to reduce smoking rates, from banning advertising to making these products less appealing to young people. That is a balanced approach. It protects public health while respecting individual freedom.”

“As we've always maintained, what's not legal simply ends up in the black market. We need to choose whether we want criminal organisations to sell contraband cigarettes and cigars, or the State. We opt for the latter. Besides, the 18 years old threshold is almost an international standard. We'd be favourable to banning indoor smoking in all places open to the public, but everything else is fairly questionable.”

Yes

“The health of future generations is a national priority. Stronger restrictions on tobacco and vaping help reduce youth smoking, protect public health, and ensure a healthier, more productive population while discouraging harmful habits.”

“It is fatal to think that a loose drug policy solves the addiction problem. Instead, the state itself becomes a dealer. We must prevent this.”

Competence And Freedom

No

“Overregulation does little to reduce the use of such substances, and will only empower criminals to make profits.”
