No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without a fair and public trial by an impartial jury. Every accused person shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and the burden of proof shall rest solely upon the state. The privilege of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, ensuring every detained individual the right to a prompt judicial determination of the legality of their confinement; if such detention is found to be without legal basis, the individual shall be released immediately.
