Rationale

Despite alcohol having known effects as an intoxicant, over-regulation of the sector fosters the growth of a black market, which poses big dangers due to its underground nature. This act aims to alleviate this issue by liberalising regulations, and placing decisions back in the hands of individuals.

Proposed Changes

1

Alcohol Regulation
Previous law
Strict regulation (age 21; high excise; retail 10:00–20:00; public drinking banned)
