Rationale

Despite their good environmental intentions, the limiting of power generation to nuclear methods and the blanket ban on private vehicles in urban areas has caused over-reliance by the state and people on public systems. This act aims to solve this by allowing for alternative options just in case.

Proposed Changes

1

Renewable Energy Mandates
Previous law
Nuclear-only energy policy (all fossil and renewable phased out for nuclear)
Renewables priority

2

Public Transport Policy
Previous law
Ban private vehicles in all urban areas; free state transit network
Public transport priority (car restrictions in city centres; free transit)
