“Any law that separates people by blood, race or any similar alternative for unequal treatment is a fundamental violation of human rights. Blood does not and cannot determine the eligibility of becoming a Marianne citizen.”

Yes

“Citizenship is a sacred bond, an inheritance to be passed down rather than a consumer good accessible at will. By prioritizing right of blood, we are restoring the historical continuity of our nation and protecting our identity against dilution. Nationality must be the reflection of a lineage and a deep, proven commitment to the country. Requiring 15 years of residency for naturalization is a common-sense measure: it ensures that those who wish to join our national community have proven, over the long term, their attachment to our values, our laws, and our way of life. We are putting an end to the era of cheapened citizenship. It is time to safeguard our national belonging and ensure that only those truly anchored in our history can share in its future. It is a necessary measure for the nation's endurance !”
