Rationale

These reforms modernise markets, education and trade to boost growth, lower costs and unlock opportunity for all citizens.

Proposed Changes

1

Agricultural Market Regime
Previous law
Mixed regime: tariffs on some staples, intervention only in a crisis
Open agricultural trade; intervention only in emergencies

2

Retail Planning & Licensing
Previous law

Presumption in favour of new stores; no size limits

3

Sellers must justify large price rises publicly; no caps

4

Online Retail & Marketplaces
Previous law
Marketplaces liable for illegal or unsafe third-party goods; standard returns rights
Digital-first: e-signatures, no local-presence rules, open cross-border selling

5

Vocational & Technical Education

Universal access to vocational and technical training, with a guaranteed apprenticeship place for every school-leaver

Libertary Front
Voted Oct. 14, 2024
No

“Libertary Front votes NO because, while we support free markets, deregulation and entrepreneurship, this proposal goes too far by completely opening the agricultural market to unrestricted foreign competition. Protecting a fair competitive environment for domestic producers is essential. We cannot support the entire package when one of its core measures conflicts with that principle.”

Monarchists
Voted Oct. 3, 2024
