“Strict, actively inspected limits sound reasonable on paper, but the thing quietly removed here is personal criminal liability for executives — the actual consequence that makes a standard more than a suggestion. ASTER made the same call on policing: real accountability means someone can be removed and prosecuted, not just reviewed. Pollution rules deserve the same logic. This is also the second bill in a few weeks asking Fjordheim to loosen environmental protection because growth slowed, and both times the industries named — oil, gas, mining — are exactly the ones this bill softens rules for. We won't trade a standard with teeth for one that photographs well on a spreadsheet. The law this repeals was Movement For Socialism's, and MFS is gone now, but the reasoning behind it hasn't stopped being sound. ASTER votes No.”
