Rationale

These changes modernize military policy to promote true equality and strengthen national security by reducing risky arms transfers. We cannot alienate men from our armed forces like the current quota policy does. That is not true progressivism. While also establishing AI weapon safeguards.

National Front
Voted Aug. 15, 2019
Yes

“We believe Men and Women should be equal, we also believe that weaponry should be used responsibly, no matter if it’s autonomous or not. Therefore we support this proposal for the purpose of gender equality, and responsible use of weaponry”

Charlemont Unionists
Voted Aug. 6, 2019
Yes Changed vote

“We believe that an armed forces which has quotas for positions will lead to women being discriminated against further in the army. What must happen is an equal selection process alongside controls on autonomous combat systems to ensure safe and human controlled use.”
