“The Green-Left Movement opposes this Act because removing safeguards until after the National AI Programme is completed puts workers, privacy, and public safety at unnecessary risk. Innovation must go hand in hand with strong democratic oversight and responsible regulation from the outset.”
AI Development Acceleration Act of 2023
Rationale
To maximise AI’s economic and societal benefits, unrestricted development accelerates innovation, boosts competitiveness, and delivers public services more efficiently. We plan to re-establish regulation sometime after our National AI Programme is completed to make sure that AI is used responsibly.
