Voting record

Every vote must state a public reason. Most recent first.

No

“We do not agree with Article 1 and 3 as removing these could compromise the safety of our people and their communities and ensure taht the streets stay safe”

“I am voting against this proposal because I believe the proposed reforms go too far in curtailing the State's capabilities. While I support effective police oversight and the protection of citizens' privacy, I do not consider it appropriate to completely eliminate the national identity document or to impose such a sweeping ban on certain surveillance tools. I believe that security and privacy must be balanced: the State must be subject to clear checks and limits, yet it must also retain the tools necessary to ensure security and enforce the law. For these reasons, although I share some of the proposal's objectives, I cannot support the package as a whole.”
